In the midst of label issues, HotGirl Meg drops something light with Suga.
Earlier this month, March 1. Megan made it known that she was having issues with her label. The next day she filed a lawsuit against her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. A Texas judge granted her a temporary restraining order against 1501, allowing her to release music.
Last week, March 6. Megan dropped Suga, a 9-track EP. The project only features 2 acts, Kehlani and Gunna.
Suga shows Meg’s ability to experiment with different sounds and flows. Overall I enjoyed the project. It was something light to keep her audience entertained meanwhile she sorts out her legal battle. As far as her debut album she told The Breakfast Club, “I’m still working on my ‘album.”
We hope Megan and her record label can figure it out. For now go stream Suga and let us know your thoughts.
