Lil Wayne Sued by Former Manager, Sells Masters

Lil Wayne is finding himself in a whirlwind of issues at the end of 2020. It has been reported that Lil Wayne’s former manager Ronald Sweeney filed a twenty million dollar lawsuit against Weezy for unpaid wages and damages. Sweeney was tasked with settling Wayne’s dispute with Cash Money and Birdman. Sweeney was fired from Wayne’s team and was not properly compensated after the dispute was resolved in 2018.

Now that Sweeney has filed his lawsuit, it was revealed that Wayne in fact sold his masters to UMG this past June for $100 million, thus deeming him able to cover the funds of the lawsuit filed by Sweeney.

It will be interesting to see how this all pans out for Weezy, as this situation is now running along side his newly brought up legal troubles.
