Wale Delivers New EP ‘The Imperfect Storm’

Amid the nationwide civil unrest due to years of social injustice against the black community, the D.C. rapper dropped a project that addresses the current social climate.

On June 19th Wale released The Imperfect Storm. The EP packs a total of 6 songs, and features McClenney and Eric Bellinger. The third track, “BLUE YELLOW GREEN PINK WHITE” samples the notable “Cha-Cha Slide” by DJ Casper also known as Mr. C the Slide Man.

The art cover is an image of the remnants of looting and rioting that broke out in a few cities across the nation as a result of the civil unrest that was sparked by the murder of George Floyd.

Wale delivers The Imperfect Storm at a very important moment in not only U.S. history but for humanity as a whole. Anti-blackness is a global issue and the U.S. is leading the fight. Artist like Wale are showing their solidarity by using their platform to be vocal about the political climate in the U.S. and delivering projects like The Imperfect Storm that remind the black community and its allies what they are fighting for.
