Takeoff’s stamp in Hip Hop will be remembered forever.
Hip Hop has suffered yet another tragedy in the loss of Takeoff. The Migos group member was gunned down in Houston Texas on November 1st after an argument took place, tragically getting caught in the line of fire. Takeoff’s funeral took place on November 11th at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta where many paid their respects to the artist, including his family and group members Quavo and Offset, and Drake whom was close to the artist as well.
Takeoff was the voice of the Migos, helping orchestrate a new sound into the Hip Hop genre during the 2010s along with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset. His voice and flow was powerful and will be remembered forever. Hip Hop TXL dedicates the 55th volume in the TXL mixtape series to Takeoff and the Migos, hosted by DJ Reddy Rell, DJ Pareece, DJ Hard Hitta and DJ Iceberg.
