Bobby Shmurda Freed From Prison, Hip Hop Celebrates

Bobby Shmurda is a free man after over six years in the penitentiary.

The world of Hip Hop celebrated yesterday as Bobby $hmurda, 2014’s ‘Hot N*gga’ rapper was released after serving 6+ years in prison. Bobby was serving time on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, drug possession, gun possession and reckless endangerment.

Bobby was originally not supposed to be free until December 11, 2021. His label-mate and lifelong friend Rowdy Rebel broke the news that Bobby would indeed be released nine months early. Bobby took a heavier sentence to relieve the sentence for Rowdy Rebel, who was also released from prison last month. Hip Hop stars rejoiced upon the release of the artists.

Quavo stepped in to be the one to pick Bobby up in a private jet, having remained close with the rapper while he was inside.

Bobby quickly rose to stardom in 2014 with his breakout singles ‘Hot N*gga’, and ‘Bobby B*tch’, and was heavily missed amongst his counterparts and fans. Now that he’s out, the culture is clamoring at the release of new music and endless lists of collaborations that can come from Bobby $hmurda. Summer ’21 is surely looking good already.
