On Wednesday Apollo Brown and Che’ Noir dropped their first single, “Hustle Don’t Give” off of their joint project As God Intended. Brown and Noir both took to Instagram to announce their album release date as well as the tracklist.
“‘Hustle Don’t Give’ was the last song I wrote for the album. I remember hearing the intro and as soon as the beat dropped I went crazy. It only took me a few hours to write the verse and the hook,” the Detroit producer told OkayPlayer.
The track preaches about staying focused on your grind. In a world where there is so much uncertainty about the future especially for the youth, this couldn’t have come at a better time.
“I love how Che’ comes at you from all different angles, and gives the imagery that’s needed in this game. It was an honor to have one of the best to do it, Black Thought, on this record as well, giving his take on the grind,” he added.
